Stewart Family {LOVE} Session

On Christmas Eve we had the pleasure of shooting the Stewart Family’s portraits in Downtown Orlando.  Now this may sound like a strange day for a portrait session but it was the only day we could get together with them.  More importantly, during  our consultation Tanya had informed us that since she and her husband Danny were married nine years ago, they have never had all three of their kids together on Christmas morning nor have they had a portrait done of all of them together.  So, this year she was very happy to be able to do both.

Lora and I both have all of our immediate family in town so it’s a little hard for me to imagine what it was like for Tanya and Danny to have all their kids home at the same time for the holidays.  I live about 15 minutes from my parents and most of the time I take this proximity for granted, but after spending the day with this fun, loving family I am a little more appreciative of having my family close by.   This session was a great way to kick off the Christmas weekend.  Maybe we should try to make a tradition out of it.

We started the session at Church Street Station.  Their dog Audi joined them for this one.

Cody is a volunteer fireman in Indiana so we thought it would be appropriate to take some shots in front of the large Orlando fire station downtown.

The last stop on our downtown Orlando tour was at our favorite wall.  It’ll be a sad day when they finally build something in this vacant lot.

Ready?Set…JUMP!Thanks for a wonderful, fun day and we hope to see you again soon!

Happy Birthday Lora!!!

In case you missed it, last Friday was Lora’s birthday.  Of course if you know Lora personally then there’s know way you missed it because you probably know January better as “The Month of Lora”.  Saturday we invited some friends over to celebrate by playing games and eating party food.  We also set up a backdrop and took some fun photos.

Chris modeled for me while I was setting up the lights.  I’m not sure how into it he was though.

Ashley drove down from Gainesville to spend time with Lora on Saturday and Sunday.  I should also point out that Lora just had her hair cut and dyed so when you see her let her know how much you love it.

Rachel couldn’t make it until later in the evening.  That’s why she’s alone here.

Can you tell we had a great time?

I hope I speak for everyone when I say we had a great time and most important of all I hope Lora had a great time.  Happy Birthday Lora!  I hope we all made you feel as special as you deserve!

Helena’s Belly {LOVE} Session

Helena contacted us about maternity photos for her first child. She was very excited about them and after talking to her over the phone, Lora couldn’t be more excited either. On the day of the shoot Helena was quite the model and her husband Marc played a great supporting role. It was a real treat working with both of them.

Marc and Helena had a great movie room so we decided to do a few film noir inspired photos there.
