Merry Christmas everyone! It’s about 3:00 Christmas morning and we just finished wrapping presents and getting ready for our first Christmas together. Lora just went to bed and I’m staying up a little longer to help Santa. I can’t tell you how excited I am about Christmas morning and all the new traditions we’ll be starting and the old ones we’ll be sharing with each other. One new tradition we started this year is we sent out Christmas cards to the people closest to us. We actually tried to do that last year but between planning a wedding, Lora’s mysterious side pain, and my Senior Design class time just got away from us. This year however we made the time to get a few good pictures of us and our cats (thanks Jodi for playing photographer), dump them into a template and get them out before Christmas. Below I’ve included some of the funnier outtakes from our photo shoot.
In this first one, I’m holding Leona and Lora is holding Leo. Leo loves to be held but Leona is not such a fan. Also, Leona ALWAYS blinks when we use flash.

Maybe if Lora holds both cats?

In the next two you can see Leo intensely staring off camera right. That’s because Jodi is throwing one of their jingle balls in the air to get them to look at the camera. Her aim is a little off.

Leona really doesn’t like the flash.

Maybe the would be more comfortable in their bed?

In the end I ended up shooting Leo and Leona while they were sitting in Lora’s lap without flash after Jodi went home. These last three are the ones we used for our cards.

I hope you enjoyed our first Christmas card experience as much as I enjoyed sharing it. And thanks again for your patience, Jodi after we roped you into our adventure under false pretenses. I hope everyone has a relaxing holiday weekend, and in the famous words of Tiny Tim: “God bless us, every one!”
